招 生 訊 息

The Graduate Institute of Studies in Documentary & Film Archiving, formerly known as the Graduate Institute of Studies in Documentary, offers Taiwan's first and the only Master's program for professional documentary production and film restoration. Since 1996, a considerable number of filmmakers have received professional training from the program. The program has achieved recognition for its contribution to the domain of documentary film production in Taiwan.

In the 2010 academic year, Master of Fine Arts (M. F. A.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) degrees have been awarded upon completing studies at the institute's Documentary Division and Film-archiving Division, respectively. Much more than the same training routine as its predecessor, the Documentary Division encourages documentary work/learning in multiple paradigms, interdisciplinary instructions and practices. The Film-archiving Division offers students with opportunity to engage in film restoration and preservation at a professional level, with an emphasis on the significance to documentary films from a historical perspective.
