| Synopsis The documentary invites viewers to observe a full day shift of two individual’s delivery riders (in Singapore and China), as we immerse ourselves in the changing environments of sights, sounds and sensation of rider’s journey. With the film being structured around the start to the end of the rider’s day we explore notions on the relationship the society has without food in this age of food delivery in the pandemic. The emotions, the state of mind and the appreciation of our food or the lack thereof. Director Alvin CHEW (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) Mayle KOR (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) Lin CHEN (Yunnan University, China) |
Synopsis In this Pandemic Era, border are closed between countries. Four protagonists Kitty and Tommy, who live in Seoul, and Mia and Emma, who lives in Tokyo, access each other through online network system. While communication, they are using AR character masks originated by popular chatting app “LINE”, rather than showing their real faces on the screen. As East Asian women of the 21st century, they are facing parallel reality in the different society. They are chatting about a book they have all read by chance, sending their old photos, and sharing the videos of their daily life such as subways. They have never met each other, yet, however they already become friend. Their AR avatars are teleporting between separated nations and trying to make a solidarity in playful digitalized gesture. Director Ohyeon KWON (Korean National University of Arts, Korea) Arum NAM (Korean National University of Arts, Korea) Chifumi TANZAWA (Komazawa University, Japan) Nana NOKA (Komazawa University, Japan) |
